2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno bags 50,000 bookings within one month
Maruti Suzuki had launched the 2022 version of the Baleno hatchback in India last month. The company has now announced that the car has already received 50,000 bookings. Previously, the four-wheeler had accumulated 25,000 bookings before it went official. The new Baleno starts at Rs. 6.35 lakh for the manual Sigma variant and goes up to Rs. 9.49 lakh for the automatic Alpha trim.

The car is available in six color variants
The new Maruti Suzuki Baleno has a sculpted bonnet, a chrome-surrounded mesh grille, a wide air dam, and LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs. It is flanked by B-pillars, indicator-mounted ORVMs, and 16-inch alloy wheels. An integrated spoiler and LED taillights grace the rear. The car is offered in Grandeur Gray, Luxe Beige, Nexa Blue, Pearl Arctic White, Opulent Red, and Splendid Silver shades.
The AMT variant delivers a mileage of 22.94km/liter
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno is powered by a 1.2-liter dual VVT petrol engine that churns out 89hp/113Nm. The mill is mated to a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. The manual and AMT models have a fuel efficiency of 22.35km/liter and 22.94km/liter, respectively.
The hatchback houses a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment screen
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno has a sporty cabin, featuring a height-adjustable driver's seat, a head-up display, sliding center armrest, automatic climate control, an Arkayms music system, and a flat-bottom steering wheel. It packs a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment panel with Amazon Alexa, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Suzuki Connect support. For passengers' safety, the car has six airbags and a 360-degree-view camera.
2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno: Pricing and availability
The manual variants of the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno start at Rs. 6.35 lakh and go up to Rs. 8.99 lakh, while the AMT models fall in the price-range of Rs. 7.69-9.49 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).
