2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno revealed in leaked TV commercial
Maruti Suzuki will launch the facelifted version of its Baleno hatchback in India tomorrow i.e. February 23. In the latest development, details of the vehicle have been revealed via a leaked TVC video courtesy Harsh VLOGS. It suggests that the car will have a chrome-surrounded grille, new alloy wheels, swept-back LED headlights, a rear bumper with reflectors, and a head-up display, among other highlights.

Since its introduction in India in 2015, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno has been quite a popular model here. The upcoming version of the four-wheeler is an attempt by the company to raise its appeal in the market. The hatchback will have a more modern feel, thanks to several changes both inside and out. It will take on Volkswagen Polo and Hyundai i20.
The car will sport indicator-mounted ORVMs and LED taillights
The 2022 Baleno will have a sculpted hood, a wide grille with a mesh pattern, a wide air dam, a front bumper with chrome inserts, and LED headlights with integrated LED DRLs. It will be flanked by B-pillars, indicator-mounted ORVMs, and 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. A roof-mounted antenna, an integrated spoiler, a chrome strip on the bootlid, and LED taillights will grace the rear.
It will be powered by an 89hp, 1.2-liter engine
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno will draw power from a 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder, petrol engine that will make 89hp/113Nm. The motor will be linked to a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. An idle start/stop function will also be available.
The hatchback will get six airbags and flat-bottom steering wheel
The new Baleno will have a sporty cabin, featuring a dashboard with redesigned AC vents, an Arkayms music system, auto climate control, a height-adjustable driver's seat, a head-up display, and a flat-bottom steering wheel. It will house a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment panel with Amazon Alexa, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Suzuki Connect support. Six airbags and a 360-degree-view camera will also be available.
2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno: Pricing and availability
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno will be offered in 11 variants across four trims: Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. Its bookings are also open. The hatchback should cost slightly more than the outgoing model which starts at Rs. 6.14 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
