2022 Horwin SK3 maxi-scooter arrives in Europe with 300km range
Chinese automaker Horwin has introduced the 2022 version of its SK3 maxi-style scooter in Europe. Its arrival on our shores seems unlikely. As for the highlights, the vehicle bears an aggressive look and offers several features, including full-LED illumination. It draws power from an electric powertrain and promises a range of up to 300km on a single charge.
Why does this story matter?
The new version of the Horwin SK3 offers better performance and more features as compared to the outgoing model. It should attract a lot of buyers in the Old Continent. If the two-wheeler makes its way to our country in the future, it will have to be priced competitively. The rivalry in the market will also be raised to a great extent.
The scooter has a windshield and 14-inch wheels
The 2022 Horwin SK3 has a brawny headlight-mounted front apron, a flat footboard with a prominent spine running across it, a stepped-up single-piece seat with a pillion grab rail, a smoky windscreen, and arrowhead-shaped mirrors. The maxi-scooter packs a TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity and bi-LED headlamps. It rides on 14-inch blacked-out alloy wheels and offers key-less access.
It attains a top speed of 90km/h
The new Horwin SK3 packs a 3.1kW electric motor linked to a 72V 36Ah lithium-ion battery pack. The setup allows the vehicle to hit a top speed of 90km/h and promises a range of 300km per charge.
It gets twin rear shock absorbers
To ensure the safety of the rider, the 2022 Horwin SK3 maxi-style scooter is equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with cruise control for improved handling on the roads. Suspension duties on the vehicle are taken care of by telescopic forks on the front side and dual shock absorbers on the rear end.
2022 Horwin SK3: Pricing and availability
