2022 Honda Civic appears in live images, design features revealed
Honda is working on the new-generation Civic sedan, which is expected to be launched in the coming months. In the latest development, images of the production-ready model have been leaked, revealing its design features. The 2022 Honda Civic will feature new headlamps, a redesigned front bumper, new alloy wheels, and will be offered with two petrol engine choices. Here's our roundup.
It will offer new wrap-around taillights
As per the leaked images, the 2022 Honda Civic will have a sporty stance, featuring a sloping roofline, a slim blacked-out grille, sweptback headlights, a large air vent, and an aggressive front bumper. On the sides, it will be flanked by dual-tone ORVMs, blacked-out B-pillars, and designer alloy wheels. The rear section will have a new set of wrap-around taillamps and a body-colored bumper.
The sedan will be available with two petrol engine options
The upcoming Honda Civic will be offered with two petrol engine choices: a 1.5-liter turbocharged unit and a 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated motor. However, their power figures are unknown as of now. Transmission duties will be taken care of by a CVT gearbox.
It will sport a 'floating' infotainment panel
The next-generation Honda Civic will likely have a 5-seater cabin with leather seats, 2-zone automatic climate control, a power steering wheel, and cruise control. It will also pack a fully-digital driver's display and a 9.0-inch 'floating' touchscreen infotainment console with support for the latest connectivity features. For safety, the sedan should offer multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, and a rear-view camera.
