2022 Ducati Multistrada V4 S unveiled: Check new features
Italian automaker Ducati has unveiled the 2022 version of the Multistrada V4 S adventure bike. The upgrades include a new 'Iceberg White' livery, software updates to the bike's infotainment user interface, and a new semi-automatic function for the electronic suspension. The new electronic updates will be offered to existing V4 S customers free of charge and Ducati will contact them individually.
Why does this story matter?
With new upgrades to the Multistrada V4 S, Ducati has taken the crowd-pulling bike to another level. We can assume that the company aims to replicate the success it had with it in 2021. Of all the upgrades, what stands out is the new suspension function in the V4 S which reduces the height of the motorcycle when necessary.
The bike is offered in a new Iceberg White livery
The 2022 Ducati Multistrada V4 S sports an aggressive design with a muscular fuel tank, a split-style seat, an upswept exhaust, a prominent beak, and a raised transparent windscreen. It packs a 6.5-inch TFT screen with a new user interface and Ducati Connect system. The V4 S is offered in a new Iceberg White colorway along with Ducati Red and Aviator Gray shades.
A 1,158cc engine powers the bike
The Ducati Multistrada V4 S is powered by a 1,158cc, liquid-cooled, V4 Granturismo engine that generates 170hp of maximum power and 125Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed gearbox.
It has a new Minimum Preload function to adjust height
The Ducati Multistrada V4 S is equipped with disc brakes, cornering ABS, wheelie control, traction control, cruise control, and vehicle hold control. Suspension duties are taken care of by fully-adjustable inverted forks on the front and a fully-adjustable mono-shock rear unit. The electronic suspension gets a 'Minimum Preload' function that allows the rider to reduce the height of the motorcycle when necessary.
Ducati Multistrada V4 S: Pricing and availability
The 2022 Ducati Multistrada V4 S is priced at $26,095 (around Rs. 19.6 lakh). The bike is expected to come to India later this year.
