Japanese automaker Yamaha has launched the 2021 version of its Aerox 155 scooter in Thailand. As for the highlights, the two-wheeler has a refreshed design, an all-LED lighting setup, and an LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. The 2021 Yamaha Aerox 155 has an aggressive design, featuring an apron-mounted headlight, sharp-looking turn signals, a stepped-up seat, dual-tone paintwork, and sporty graphics. It packs a USB charger, a smart key, an all-LED lighting setup, and a Bluetooth-enabled LCD instrument console that shows call and message alerts. It has a 25-liter under-seat storage compartment and a 5.5-liter fuel tank.
Power and performance
The 2021 Yamaha Aerox 155 draws power from a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is linked to a CVT gearbox. The mill generates 15.18hp of maximum power and a peak torque of 13.8Nm.
Safety and suspension setup
To ensure the safety of the rider, the 2021 Yamaha Aerox 155 is equipped with a disc brake on the front wheel and a drum brake on the rear, along with single-channel ABS for better handling on the roads. The suspension duties on the scooter are taken care of by telescopic forks on the front side and a swingarm on the rear.
What about the pricing?
In Thailand, the 2021 Yamaha Aerox 155 carries a price-tag of 78,500 Baht (approximately Rs. 1.90 lakh). However, it is unlikely to be launched in India as the company will be unable to price it competitively.
