Triumph Tiger 850 Sport to be launched on February 9
As an entry-level model in the Tiger 900 range, British automaker Triumph will launch its 2021 Tiger 850 Sport adventure tourer in India. The premium four-wheeler has a sporty semi-faired look and comes with a 5.0-inch full-color TFT screen and an all-LED lighting setup. It draws power from an 888cc, in-line, 3-cylinder engine. 2021 Triumph Tiger 850 Sport: At a glance
The 2021 Triumph Tiger 850 Sport has an aggressive look, featuring a muscular fuel tank with extensions, a flat-type seat, a pronounced beak, an upswept exhaust, and a raised windscreen. The bike packs a 5.0-inch full-color TFT screen, an all-LED lighting setup, and rides on blacked-out alloy wheels. It has a kerb weight of 192kg and a 20-liter fuel tank.
Power and performance
In India, the 2021 Triumph Tiger 850 Sport will draw power from a BS6-compliant 888cc liquid-cooled, 3-cylinder engine linked to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The mill will generate a maximum power of 84hp at 8,500rpm, and a peak torque of 82Nm at 6,500rpm.
Safety and suspension setup
To ensure the rider's safety, the 2021 Triumph Tiger 850 Sport is equipped with disc brakes on both the wheels, along with dual-channel ABS and switchable traction control. It also offers Road and Rain riding modes. The suspension duties on the bike are handled by 45mm Marzocchi inverted front forks and a Marzocchi shocker with adjustable preload on the rear side.

The pricing and availability details of the 2021 Tiger 850 Sport in India will be revealed at the launch event on February 9. However, it is expected to carry a price-tag of around Rs. 9.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
