2021 Suzuki Hayabusa, with refreshed design and new features, unveiled
Japanese automaker Suzuki has unveiled the 2021 iteration of its Hayabusa fully-faired motorbike. It comes in three dual-tone color options. As for the highlights, the two-wheeler has an aerodynamic look, chrome-finished twin exhausts, and redesigned side panels with air dams. It draws power from a Euro 5-compliant 1,340cc engine linked to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Here's our roundup.
2021 Suzuki Hayabusa: At a glance
The 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa sits on a twin-spar type aluminium frame and features a muscular fuel tank, side panels with huge air dams, a larger pillion seat cowl as compared to its predecessor, chrome-plated twin exhausts, and a raised windscreen. The motorcycle offers analog instrument dials, a TFT multi-info display, and an all-LED setup for lighting. It rides on designer blacked-out alloy wheels.
Power and performance
The 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa draws power from a Euro 5-compliant 1,340cc in-line, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine linked to a 6-speed gearbox. The mill comes with a new intake and catalytic converter. It will reportedly deliver 187.7hp power at 9,700rpm and the torque of 150Nm at 7,000rpm.
Safety and suspension setup
To ensure the rider's safety, the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa is equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with traction control, Hill Start Assist, wheelie control, cornering ABS, and multiple riding modes. Meanwhile, the suspension duties on the motorcycle are taken care of by inverted telescopic front forks and link-type coil spring on the rear end.
What about the pricing?
The details related to the pricing and availability of the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa are yet to be revealed. In India, it will arrive in the second half of 2021, possibly as a Completely Built-up Unit (CBU) and cost around Rs. 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
