2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan motorbike launched at Rs. 2.36 lakh
Royal Enfield has launched the 2021 iteration of its Himalayan adventure motorcycle in India. It comes in three new colors. As for the highlights, the bike sports certain cosmetic changes and offers new features. However, it retains the BS6-compliant 411cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine as well as the 5-speed manual gearbox of the outgoing model. Here's our roundup.
2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan: At a glance
The 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan has a blacked-out circular headlamp casing, a black heat shield on the exhaust, a contrasting brown seat, and a raised windscreen. The bike houses a semi-digital instrument console with support for Tripper Navigation, a halogen headlamp, a bulb taillight, and rides on wire-spoke wheels. It comes in three new colors- Pine Green, Mirage Silver, and Granite Black.
Power and performance
The 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan draws power from a BS6-compliant 411cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine linked to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The mill generates a maximum power of 24.3hp and a peak torque of 32Nm.
Safety and suspension setup
To ensure the safety of the rider, the 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan is equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels along with dual-channel ABS for improved handling on the roads. The suspension duties on the motorcycle are taken care of by telescopic forks on the front side and a mono-shock unit on the rear end.
