2021 MG ZS EV to be launched on February 8

MG Motor will launch the 2021 iteration of the ZS EV in India on February 8.
It is expected to retain the exterior design of the current model. On the inside, the company is likely to update the cabin with new equipment and added features.
Moreover, it should continue to run on a 3-phase permanent synchronous motor, which draws power from a 44.5kWh battery.

The 2021 MG ZS EV should have a muscular bonnet, a chrome-surrounded grille, wide air vent, and sleek headlights.
It will be flanked by roof rails, blacked-out B-pillars, indicator-mounted ORVMs, and designer alloy wheels. Wrap-around taillamps, a window wiper, and a silvered skid plate should be present on the rear.
Dimensions-wise, it will have a wheelbase of 2,585mm and a ground clearance of 156mm.

The 2021 ZS EV should house a 3-phase permanent synchronous motor and a 44.5kWh battery. The combination generates 143hp/353Nm and will be linked to an automatic gearbox. The car should deliver a range of around 340km and sprint from 0-100km/h in 8.5 seconds.

A peek inside the cabin
The 2021 MG ZS EV should have a 5-seater cabin with leather seats, auto climate control, parking sensors, and a multifunctional power steering wheel.
It should house an 8.0-inch or bigger touchscreen infotainment system with support for i-Smart connected car technology.
For the passengers' safety, multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, crash sensors, an engine immobilizer, and a rear-view camera should be available.

Details pertaining to the pricing and availability of the 2021 MG ZS EV in India will be revealed at the launch event on February 8. However, it should carry a premium over the current-generation model which starts at Rs. 20.88 lakh (ex-showroom).
