2021 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class gets a price-tag of Rs. 1.34 crore
Mercedes-Benz had unveiled its 2021 Maybach S-Class sedan in November last year and has now revealed its pricing details. The flagship sedan starts at $1,84,900 (roughly Rs. 1.34 crore) in the US. As for the highlights, it has an eye-catching look and a luxurious cabin with many tech features. It draws power from a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine linked to a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
The car has a massive length of 5.5m
The 2021 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class sports a large chrome grille with vertical slats, chrome-finished air vents, and slim LED headlamps. It is flanked by chromed-covered B-pillars and blacked-out C-pillars, sleek ORVMs, and 21-inch alloy wheels. Wrap-around LED lights and chrome-coated exhaust tips grace the rear section. The vehicle is nearly 5.5m long, making it 180mm longer than the standard S-Class.
It runs on a 496hp, 4.0-liter V8 engine
The 2021 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is powered by a 4.0-liter, V8 twin-turbo engine with EQ Boost 48V mild-hybrid technology. The motor churns out 496hp of maximum power and 700Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
The sedan has a luxurious and tech-loaded cabin
The 2021 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class has a luxurious cabin, featuring seats with built-in footrests, heated armrests, a head-up display, a 30-speaker Burmester sound system, and multiple airbags. It is equipped with an MBUX infotainment system and has five screens, including a 12.3-inch digital instrument console, a removable tablet nestled between the rear seats, a 12.8-inch screen at the front, and twin 11.6-inch rear-seat entertainment monitors.
