2021 Mercedes-AMG C43 sedan found testing; design details revealed
German automaker Mercedes-Benz is expected to unveil its AMG C43 sedan later this year. In the latest development, a camouflaged test mule of the car has been spotted testing, revealing its key design highlights. As per the pictures, the car will sport a refreshed grille, new bumpers, quad exhaust tips, and different alloy wheels for the front and rear ends. Here are more details.
The car will sport a large Panamericana grille
The 2021 Mercedes-AMG C43 will have an eye-catching look, featuring a sloping roofline, a muscular bonnet, a Panamericana grille, a wide air vent, and sleek headlights. On the sides, it will be flanked by blacked-out B-pillars, ORVMs, and two sets of alloy wheels for the front and rear sides. Wrap-around taillights and quad exhaust tips will grace the rear end of the vehicle.
It should run on a 421hp, 2.0-liter engine
Instead of a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, the 2021 Mercedes-AMG C43 will draw power from a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder motor with hybrid assistance. This powertrain is likely to generate 421.7hp of maximum power and 500Nm of peak torque.
The vehicle should have a tech-savvy 5-seater cabin
No details pertaining to the interiors of the 2021 Mercedes-AMG C43 have been revealed yet. However, it should have a spacious 5-seater cabin with auto climate control and a multifunctional steering wheel. It should pack a touchscreen infotainment console with support for the latest connectivity facilities. For ensuring the passengers' safety, multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, and a rear-view camera should be available.
2021 Mercedes-AMG C43: Pricing and availability
The pricing and availability details of the 2021 Mercedes-AMG C43 will be announced at the time of launch. However, it should carry some premium over the new-generation C-Class, which will start at around $43,000 (approximately Rs. 31 lakh) in the US.
