2021 Mahindra XUV300 Sportz variant spotted testing: Details here
Mahindra is expected to launch a performance variant of the XUV300, called the Sportz, later this year in India. In the latest development, a test mule of the car has been spotted testing on the roads, revealing its design features. The XUV300 Sportz will come with some exterior tweaks, new graphics, an updated cabin, and a turbo-petrol engine. Here's our roundup.
It will have sporty red accents on the sides
Mahindra XUV300 Sportz will feature a new set of graphics, red accents on the sides and brake calipers, a chrome-surrounded grille, a muscular bonnet, and a large air vent. For lighting, it will house adjustable, projector headlights, LED DRLs, and LED taillights. On the sides, it will be flanked by roof rails, dual-tone ORVMs, blacked-out B-pillars, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
It will run on a turbo-petrol engine
The Mahindra XUV300 Sportz will be powered by a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol GDI mStallion engine that produces 130hp of maximum power and 230Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are expected to be handled by a 6-speed manual gearbox.
A 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment console is expected
The Mahindra XUV300 Sportz will offer a 5-seater cabin with an all-black upholstery and red stitching, a red-accented dashboard, 2-zone automatic climate control, and a power steering wheel. It will also pack a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment panel with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Safety provisions will include seven airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control, and a rear-view camera.
Mahindra XUV300 Sportz: Pricing and availability
Mahindra will announce the official pricing and availability details of the XUV300 Sportz at the time of launch, which is expected to happen in the coming months. However, it will likely cost around Rs. 12 lakh (ex-showroom).
