Austrian automaker KTM will launch its 2021 RC 390 motorbike in India later this year. In the latest development, a test mule of the vehicle has been found testing, revealing its key design highlights. As per the images, it will have refreshed fairings, a transparent windscreen, a new headlight setup, a stepped-up seat, and 5-spoke alloy wheels. Here are more details.
The bike should have an all-LED lighting setup
The 2021 RC 390 will sport an eye-catching design, featuring a muscular fuel tank, an orange rear sub-frame with a stepped-up seat on top, an upswept exhaust, and a raised windshield. The bike should pack a digital instrument console, a full-LED setup for lighting, and ride on alloy wheels. It should have a 9.5-liter fuel tank and tip the scales at around 167kg.
It should run on a 42hp, 373cc engine
The powertrain details of the 2021 KTM RC 390 are unknown. For reference, the current model runs on a 373.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that generates 42hp of power and 35Nm of torque. The mill is linked to a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch.
Disc brakes on both the wheels will ensure safety
To ensure the safety of the rider, the 2021 KTM RC 390 should be equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with dual-channel ABS for better handling on the roads. Suspension duties on the motorcycle should be taken care of by inverted forks on the front side and a mono-shock unit on the rear end.
