Ahead of launch, 2021 KTM RC 200 bike found testing
Austrian automaker KTM is expected to launch its 2021 RC 200 motorbike in India soon. In the latest development, a camouflaged test mule of the upcoming bike has been found testing on the roads, revealing its key design details. As per the pictures, it will have fairing-integrated turn indicators, a bigger windscreen, new orange alloy wheels, and a LED taillight. Here are more details.
The bike will house a digital instrument cluster
The 2021 KTM RC 200 will have an eye-catching design, featuring a muscular fuel tank, stepped-up seat, fairing-integrated turn indicators, a hexagonal headlight cluster, and a large windshield. The bike shall pack a digital instrument console, a halogen headlamp, an LED taillight, and will ride on orange-rimmed alloy wheels. It should tip the scales at 154.3kg.
It shall run on a 25hp, 199cc engine
The 2021 KTM RC 200 shall draw power from a BS6-compliant 199.5cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine linked to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The mill will generate a maximum power of 25.3hp at 10,000rpm and a peak torque of 19.2Nm at 8,000rpm.
Disc brakes on both the wheels should ensure safety
To ensure the safety of the rider, the 2021 KTM RC 200 should be equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels along with dual-channel ABS to avoid skidding on the roads while braking. Suspension duties on the motorcycle should be taken care of by 43mm USD forks on the front side and a mono-shock unit on the rear end.
2021 KTM RC 200: Pricing and availability
The pricing and availability details of the 2021 KTM RC 200 in India will be announced at the time of launch. However, the bike is expected to carry a price tag of around Rs. 2.15 lakh.
