2021 JAWA 42 motorbike launched at Rs. 1.8 lakh
Classic Legends has launched its new-generation JAWA 42 motorcycle in India. It is available in three color options: All Star Black, Orion Red, and Sirius White. As for the highlights, the premium two-wheeler has a refreshed look and comes with a semi-digital instrument console as well as alloy wheels. However, it retains the BS6-compliant 293cc engine of its predecessor. Here's our roundup.
2021 JAWA 42: At a glance
The 2021 JAWA 42 sits on a dual cradle frame and sports a blacked-out finish on the engine, exhaust, front fork covers, and rear springs. An offset racing stripe, refreshed seat, flyscreen, and headlight grille are also available. The bike packs a digital-analog instrument console, a halogen headlamp, and a bulb taillight. It rides on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels.
Power and performance
In India, the JAWA 42 draws power from a BS6-compliant 293cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine linked to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The mill generates a maximum power of 27hp and a peak torque of 27Nm.
Safety and suspension setup
To ensure the safety of the rider, the JAWA 42 is equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels along with dual-channel ABS to avoid skidding on the roads while braking. Suspension duties on the motorcycle are taken care of by telescopic forks on the front side and twin rear springs with adjustable preload on the rear end.

In India, the 2021 JAWA 42 motorcycle carries a price-tag of Rs. 1,83,942 (ex-showroom, Delhi). At this price-point, it goes against rivals such as Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Honda H'ness CB350.
