Triumph to launch 2020 Street Triple RS on March 25
Triumph Motorcycles is all set to launch the 2020 edition of its sports tourer, the Street Triple RS, in India on March 25. The new motorcycle, that made its global debut in 2019, comes with minor styling as well as mechanical updates over the outgoing model, and complies with the upcoming BS6 norms. Here's our roundup.
A look at the 2020 Triumph Street Triple RS
The 2020 Triumph Street Triple RS comes with a naked sporty design featuring an appealing look with a muscular fuel tank, stepped-up seat, and an attractive paint job. The motorcycle has an angular side profile and runs on 17-inch blacked-out alloy wheels. Furthermore, it houses a fully-digital instrument console and dual-LED headlamps with mounted DRLs, and LED taillights.
Power and performance
The 2020 Street Triple RS is fueled by a BS6-compliant 765cc liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that is capable of producing 123PS of maximum power and 79Nm of peak torque. The transmission duties on the motorcycle are managed by a 6-speed manual gearbox with bi-directional quick-shifter.
What about safety and suspension setup?
In the braking department, the 2020 Triumph Street Triple RS comes equipped with Brembo-sourced disc brakes on both front and rear ends, along with dual-channel ABS for improved braking efficiency. Further, the motorcycle houses Showa's inverted telescopic forks up front and a mono-shock unit on the rear to handle the suspension duties.
And, how much will it cost?
There is no official word on the pricing of the 2020 Triumph Street Triple RS in India as of now. But, going by the reports, the motorcycle is likely to be priced around Rs. 12 lakh in the country.
