India Bike Week: Triumph Rocket 3 launched at Rs. 18-lakh
British automaker Triumph Motorcycles has launched the 2020 edition of its flagship motorcycle, the Rocket 3, at the ongoing India Bike Week event in Goa, today. The company has introduced the R variant of the tourer at Rs. 18 lakh. Notably, the new motorcycle comes with several styling updates and produces more power than its predecessor. 2020 Triumph Rocket 3: At a glance
The 2020 Rocket 3 comes with a naked street design featuring an aggressive look with a muscular looking fuel tank, exposed engine, dual exhausts, and a slightly stepped up seat. The motorcycle gets sporty-looking alloy wheels, handlebars with heated grips, and dual-LED headlamps. Furthermore, it houses a fully-digital instrument console with integrated GoPro control and Bluetooth connectivity.
Power and performance
The 2020 Rocket 3 draws power from a 2,500cc liquid-cooled engine, which comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The unit is capable of producing 165bhp of power at 6,000rpm and a mammoth 221Nm of peak torque at 4,000rpm.
2020 Triumph Rocket 3: On the road
The 2020 Rocket 3 comes equipped with Brembo-sourced disc brakes on both wheels, along with cornering ABS and traction control. The motorcycle houses Showa's telescopic forks up front and a monoshock unit on the rear for handling suspension duties. Besides that, it also gets several inertial measurement unit (IMU) based features such as four riding modes, traction control, and hill hold assist.

As far as the pricing is concerned, the 2020 Triumph Rocket 3 costs Rs. 18 lakh in India. At this price point, the motorcycle directly rivals against the Ducati Diavel 1260, which is priced at Rs. 17 lakh.
