Japanese automaker Suzuki has unveiled the 2020 edition of its sports tourer, the SV650 for global markets. The updated motorcycle retains the design, features, and mechanical specifications of the outgoing variant, while getting three new dual-tone color schemes to attract motorheads. The 2020 Suzuki SV650 sits on a trellis frame and features a naked street design with a dual-tone color scheme, a rounded headlamp unit, and body-colored alloy wheels. The motorcycle gets a slightly stepped-up seat, a muscular fuel tank, and an angular-looking side profile. Further, it is offered in three new color options: Mystic Silver Metallic, Matte Black Metallic, and Glass Sparkle Black.
Power and performance
The 2020 Suzuki SV650 draws power from a 645cc V-Twin engine that comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The motor is capable of producing 76PS of maximum power at 8,500rpm and 64Nm of peak torque at 8,100rpm.
What about safety and suspension setup?
On the safety front, the 2020 Suzuki SV650 comes equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear ends, along with dual-channel ABS and low-rpm assist system for improved road handling. The suspension duties on the sports tourer are taken care of by telescopic forks up front and a mono-shock unit on the rear.
