Notably, the car is available with BS6-compliant 2.0-liter petrol as well as diesel engines. Here's our roundup.
A look at the 2020 Skoda Superb
The 2020 Skoda Superb comes with a stylish look featuring a curved roof design, a sporty-looking front-fascia with the company's signature butterfly grille, a muscular front bonnet, and sharp LED taillights. The car gets a sharp rear profile with angular-looking alloy wheels and blacked-out B-pillars as well as indicator-mounted ORVMs. On the rear, it houses dual exhausts and LED taillights.
Inside the cabin
Inside, the Skoda Superb gets a luxurious five-seater cabin featuring 12-way electrically adjustable front seats with ventilation function, three-zone climate control, and ambient lighting. The car comes with a virtual cockpit driver display and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with SmartLink connectivity. For safety, it offers seven airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and a reverse camera with parking sensors.
Power and performance
As mentioned before, the 2020 Skoda Superb is offered with BS6-compliant 2.0-liter petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol unit is capable of producing 187bhp of power and 320Nm of peak torque, while the diesel mill churns out 138bhp of power and 400Nm of torque. To handle transmission duties, the car gets an automatic 7-speed DSG system.
And, how much will it cost?
Skoda will reveal the official details of the Superb facelift at the launch event itself, which could happen in April. However, looking at the updates, we expect the new model to carry a significant premium over the outgoing variant that starts at Rs. 24 lakh.
