Porsche launches the most powerful variant in Macan line-up
Germany-based luxury car maker Porsche has launched a new variant of its popular SUV, the Macan. Titled as Macan Turbo, it is the most powerful model in the Macan line-up. As for key highlights, the Macan Turbo comes with an eye-catchy look, embedded SIM with support for LTE calling, and top-tier performance. Here's all about it.
2020 Porsche Macan Turbo: At a glance
The 2020 Porsche Macan Turbo sports a head-turning look featuring a chrome finished grille with three air-intakes up front and a blacked-out roof spoiler as well as dual-exhausts on the rear. The chrome work surrounding the windows and an LED strip connecting the taillamps add to its premiumness. For lighting, the Macan Turbo houses LED headlamps with DRLs, ORVM-mounted turn indicators, and LED taillamps.
Inside the cabin
Inside, the 2020 Porsche Macan Turbo features a premium cabin with electrically adjustable seats wrapped in leather upholstery. The cabin also comes with a 10.2-inch and 7.2-inch touchscreen infotainment panels along with Bose surround sound system. Moreover, it gets an embedded SIM with in-built telephone module that supports LTE calling, and optional Qi wireless charging function.
Power and performance
The 2020 Porsche Macan Turbo is powered by a 2.9-liter, six-cylinder engine which is capable of producing 434bhp of power and 550Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox which sends power to all wheels. Moreover, it has a top speed of 270kmph and it can do 0-100kmph in 4.5 seconds.
Porsche Macan Turbo: On the road
For braking performance, the 2020 Porsche Macan Turbo comes equipped with disc brakes on all wheels along with ABS and EBD for improved road handling. Further, the SUV also gets adaptive air suspension and Porsche Traction Management (PTM) as standard.

As for the pocket pinch, the 2020 Porsche Macan Turbo is priced at EUR 91,922 (approximately Rs. 73.54 lakh) in European markets. There is no official word about its India launch at the moment. However, the company has introduced Macan facelift in the country last month. Hence, we do expect Porsche to launch the 2020 Macan Turbo in India soon.
