The car will get a bunch of cosmetic tweaks and is likely to hit the Indian roads by mid-2020. Here's our roundup.
How will it look like?
The facelifted Nissan Kicks will come with a bunch of cosmetic updates over the outgoing model. The car will get a redesigned front fascia featuring a new chrome grille, revamped bumpers, and headlamps. The compact SUV will also get a sharper side profile with blacked-out side claddings, B-pillars and chrome-finished door handles. Moreover, it may also feature new LED tail lamps.
Inside the cabin
The details about the interiors of the 2020 Nissan Kicks are pretty scarce as of now. However, as per the reports, the car will get an updated cabin and a sunroof, which is missing in the current model. Besides that, it will offer a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support and retain the safety kit of the outgoing model.
Power and performance
In India, the updated Nissan Kicks is like to be offered with a 1.3-liter turbo-petrol engine that debuted at the 2020 Auto Expo. The motor is capable of producing 156PS of power and 250Nm of peak torque. Meanwhile, the international variants of the car will be offered with the company's e-Power hybrid technology that is touted to offer the best possible fuel efficiency.
Finally, what will be the pricing?
The 2020 Nissan Kicks will be launched in India sometime in the mid-2020. There is no word on its pricing as of now, but looking at the updates, it is likely to carry a slight premium over the existing model that starts at Rs. 9.55 lakh. Once launched, it will compete against Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and MG Hector.
