Mercedes-Benz to launch 2020 GLC Coupe on March 3
German automaker Mercedes-Benz is all set to launch the 2020 edition of the GLC Coupe in India on March 3. The new car, which made its global debut in early-2019, comes with several cosmetic and interior updates over the outgoing model. Notably, the flagship coupe shares its features with its sibling, the 2020 GLC-Class which was launched in India last year. Here's our roundup.
A look at the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe
The 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe gets a stylish look with a sloping roof design, a chrome-finished grille with diamond patterns, new front and rear bumpers, as well as blacked-out wheel arches. For lighting, the car gets updated LED headlamps with DRLs, indicator-mounted ORVMs, and LED taillights. Moreover, it houses angular-looking alloy wheels and features chrome highlights surrounding the windows.
Inside the cabin
Inside, the 2020 GLC Coupe gets a luxurious five-seater cabin with an electric sunroof, leather upholstery, circular AC vents, and a three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel. It sports a 12.3-inch fully-digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment panel with support for personal voice assistant. It offers all the standard safety elements like driver and passenger airbags, ABS with EBD, and several driver-assist features.
Power and performance
Reportedly, the car will be powered by a single mild hybrid petrol, and two diesel engines. The 2.0 liter GLC 300 will get the same 254bhp engine that we saw on the new C-Class. Meanwhile, the diesel vehicle will come in two variants - the 220d engine will produce 191bhp, and the 300d one will churn out 242bhp. It houses a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
And, what will be the pricing?
There is no official word on the pricing of the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe yet. However, reports suggest that the car is likely to fall under Rs. 55-65 lakh price bracket. Once launched, it will take on the likes of Porsche Macan and BMW X4.
