Maruti Suzuki launches 2020 Vitara Brezza at Rs. 7.34 lakh
Maruti Suzuki has launched the 2020 edition of one of its best-selling family cars, the Vitara Brezza, in India. The compact SUV, which made its debut at the recently-concluded Auto Expo, is a petrol-only offering, and starts at Rs. 7.34 lakh in the country. The 2020 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza looks largely similar to its BS4 counterpart, but comes with minor styling updates including a slightly redesigned front-fascia with a new chrome grille and an updated bumper. The car gets faux skid plates on both the ends, new set of alloy wheels, and a sporty rear profile with a roof-mounted spoiler and chrome garnishing on the tailgate.
Inside the cabin
The 2020 Vitara Brezza offers a five-seater cabin with fabric upholstery, a semi-digital instrument console, and a new 7-inch SmartPlay Studio infotainment unit with support for connectivity features. The car also houses auto-dimming IRVM, power windows, and a three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel. For safety, it gets dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, a speed alert system, and a rear camera with parking sensors.
Power and performance
The 2020 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is powered by a BS6-compliant 1.5-liter K15B petrol-hybrid engine that comes mated to a 5-speed manual or an automatic gearbox. The unit churns out 105PS of maximum power and 138Nm of peak torque. Notably, the car promises a mileage of 18.76kmpl when mated to automatic gearbox and 17.03kmpl when coupled with manual transmission.

As for the pocket pinch, the 2020 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza starts at Rs. 7.34 lakh for the LXi variant and goes up to Rs. 11.40 lakh for the top-of-the-line ZXi+ AT (Dual-tone) model. At this price point, the car takes on the likes of Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, and Mahindra XUV300.
