Kawasaki unveils 2020 Ninja ZX-6R sports bike: Details here
Japanese automaker Kawasaki has unveiled the 2020 edition of its popular motorcycle, the Ninja ZX-6R. The sports tourer gets minor design tweaks including updated decals on the fairings of existing model, along with two new color options. However, mechanically, it remains same as the existing Ninja ZX-6R. Here's our roundup.
First, here's a look at the motorcycle
The 2020 Ninja ZX-6R comes with a fully-faired sporty look and sits on pressed-aluminium chassis. The motorcycle comes with a muscular-looking fuel tank, a transparent windshield, split seats, and blacked-out alloy wheels with body-colored accents. Also, it houses a digital-analog instrument console along with twin-LED headlamps, turn indicators, and LED taillights.
The motorcycle can do a 0-100kmph sprint in 3.47 seconds
The 2020 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is powered by a 636cc liquid-cooled, DOHC engine which is capable of producing 126bhp of power and 70.8Nm of peak torque. For transmission duties, there is a 6-speed manual gearbox along with Kawasaki Quick Shifter. Moreover, the motorcycle has a top speed of 194.05kmph and it can do a 0-100kmph sprint in 3.47 seconds.
What about safety and suspension?
In the safety department, the 2020 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R comes equipped with disc brakes on both wheels along with dual-channel ABS and Kawasaki Traction Control for better road handling. The motorcycle also houses 41mm inverted forks on the front and a monoshock unit on the rear to handle the suspension duties.
Finally, what about pricing?
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is currently available in select international markets and is likely to arrive in India soon. As of now, there is no word on the pricing of the motorcycle. However, given that the existing model costs Rs. 10.49 lakh, we expect the new variant to arrive at a slightly higher price.
