Japanese automaker Kawasaki has unveiled the 2020 edition of its popular sports bike, the Ninja 400, in its home country. The motorcycle has received some design upgrades in the form of new color schemes and graphic changes. However, it retains the mechanical specifications of the outgoing model. Meanwhile, the new model is also expected to hit the Indian roads soon. Here's our roundup.

The standard KRT (green and black) edition of the 2020 Ninja 400 has received some design changes in the form of new honeycomb graphics on its front fairings. Apart from that, the company has introduced two new dual-tone Black Grey and Black White color options. Talking about electronic features, the bike sports a digital-analog panel and houses an all-LED setup for lighting.
Power and performance
The 2020 Kawasaki Ninja 400 is powered by a 399cc liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC engine which is capable of producing 47.5bhp of power at 10,000rpm and 38Nm of peak torque at 8,000rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox and promises a city mileage of 24.5kmpl. Moreover, the motorcycle has a top speed of 160kmph and can do 0-100kmph in 5.4 seconds.
2020 Kawasaki Ninja 400: On the road
The all-new Kawasaki Ninja 400 comes equipped with 310mm disc brakes on the front and 220mm disc brakes on the rear wheels along with dual-channel ABS. To handle the suspension duties, the motorcycle houses 41mm telescopic forks on the front side and a bottom link monoshock suspension on the rear.
Finally, what about pricing?
Presently, the company sells 2019 Kawasaki Ninja 400 in only KRT (lime green and black) color option at Rs. 4.69 lakh. Hence, we expect the new models to arrive in India at a similar price range.
