2020 Jaguar XE to launch in India on December 4
Jaguar Land Rover India (JLR) is all set to launch the 2020 edition of its popular sedan, the Jaguar XE, in India on December 4. The facelifted model, which was unveiled in February this year, comes with a bunch of design and interior updates. However, mechanically, it remains the same as the outgoing variant. Here's all about it.
First, here's a look at the 2020 Jaguar XE
The 2020 Jaguar XE sports a premium design featuring a blacked-out grille with honeycomb patterns, indicator-mounted ORVMs, and pentagonal air-intakes. The facelifted model also gets revised front and rear bumpers, dual exhausts, and alloy wheels that add to its sportier profile. Further, it also offers an all-LED lighting setup for headlamps, DRLs, turn indicators, and taillights.
Inside the cabin
Inside, the five-seater Jaguar XE features a dual-tone cabin with leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, and a three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel. The car gets a fully-digital instrument console, a bigger infotainment unit, and another touchscreen panel for climate control and seat functions. Alongside these features, it also offers safety aids like driver and passenger airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear-view camera with parking sensors.
Power and performance
The international variant of 2020 Jaguar XE is offered in two engine options: a 2.0-liter petrol and a 2.0-liter diesel. The former is capable of producing 250bhp of power and 365Nm of peak torque, while the latter churns out 180bhp and 430Nm. The India-specific model will reportedly use the same engines, but they will be upgraded to meet the upcoming emission norms.
And, what about pricing?
There is no word on the pricing and availability of 2020 Jaguar XE in India. However, it is expected that the car will come with a slightly higher price than the outgoing model which falls under Rs. 40-47 lakh price bracket.
