2020 Honda WR-V breaks cover: What has changed?
In an unexpected move, Honda India has revealed the images of the 2020 WR-V, the company's upcoming compact SUV. The new model will come with a bunch of cosmetic and feature updates as well as BS6-compliant petrol and diesel engines. Reportedly, the crossover will go on sale in the country from next month. How will it look like?
The 2020 Honda WR-V comes with a host of design updates including a sportier front bumper, a new horizontal slat grille, restyled fog lamp housings and skid plates. The car gets an angular side profile with blacked-out B-pillars, wheel arches, and indicator-mounted ORVMs. Further, it sports a new set of alloy wheels and LED headlamps.
Inside the cabin
Inside, the facelifted Honda WR-V comes with a five-seater cabin featuring a sunroof, fabric upholstery, and a leather-wrapped multifunctional steering wheel. The car also gets a new touchscreen infotainment system that comes with support for Bluetooth, voice control, and connectivity features. For safety, it offers driver and passenger airbags, ABS with EBD, a rear-view camera with parking sensors, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
Power and performance
The 2020 Honda WR-V will be available with BS6-compliant 1.2-liter petrol and 1.5-liter diesel engine options. The company is yet to reveal the power figures of the updated units. In the BS4 state of tune, the petrol unit churns out 89bhp of power and 110Nm of peak torque, while the diesel mill makes 98bhp and 200Nm.
And, how much will it cost?
Honda will reveal the prices of 2020 WR-V at its launch event which will reportedly happen next month. However, according to reports, the car will carry a marginal premium over the outgoing model that starts at Rs. 8.08 lakh.
