Honda commences bookings for the 2020 WR-V: Details here
Honda Cars India has started accepting the bookings for the 2020 edition of its crossover, the WR-V, through its official website. The new car comes with minor cosmetic tweaks and feature updates, as well as BS6-compliant petrol and diesel engines. The compact SUV is likely to hit the showrooms once the COVID-19 pandemic situation eases in the country. Here are more details.
A look at the 2020 Honda WR-V
The 2020 Honda WR-V will look largely similar to the outgoing model. It will only get minor cosmetic tweaks in the form of a new chrome-finished horizontal-slat grille, and revised bumper. It will also sport a new set of LED headlamps with mounted DRLs, indicator-mounted ORVMs, and C-shaped LED tail lamps. Apart from that, the crossover will be dimensionally identical to its BS4 sibling.
Inside the cabin
Not much is known about the interiors of the 2020 Honda WR-V at the moment. However, quite like the outgoing model, it is also likely to get a five-seater cabin with fabric upholstery. The car will also feature a one-touch electrically operated sunroof, a touchscreen infotainment panel, and a three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel with cruise control.
A look at the powertrain
The 2020 Honda WR-V will reportedly be offered with two BS6-compliant engine options: 1.2-liter i-Vtec petrol and a 1.5-liter i-Dtec turbo-diesel. The company is yet to reveal the power figures of these motors. Meanwhile, in the BS4 state, the petrol unit generates 90PS of power and 110Nm of peak torque, while the diesel mill generates 100PS and 200Nm.
And, what will be the pocket-pinch?
Honda will reveal the official pricing and availability details of the 2020 WR-V in the coming weeks. Looking at the updates though, the car is expected to carry a slight premium over the outgoing model, which falls under Rs. 7.97-10.35 lakh price bracket.
