India-bound 2020 Audi RS5 breaks cover: What has changed?
Audi has taken the wraps off its performance-oriented car, the RS5. The new model, offered in Sportback and Coupe avatars, comes with a bunch of cosmetic tweaks while being mechanically unchanged. Reportedly, the German automaker will bring the Coupe version of the car to India by the end of this year. Here are more details.
A look at the new Audi RS5
The new Audi RS5 comes with a bunch of design updates including a heavily tweaked front profile, a redesigned bumper as well as grille, wider air dams, and new matrix LED headlights with in-house laser light technology. Apart from that, it gets angular-looking alloy wheels and an appealing rear section with dual exhausts and LED taillamps.
Inside the cabin
Inside, the updated Audi RS5 offers a luxurious cabin featuring power-adjustable seats wrapped in leather, automatic climate control, and a three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel. The car houses a 12.3-inch virtual cockpit instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch floating infotainment unit with support for connectivity features. Furthermore, it retains the standard safety features of the outgoing model.
Power and performance
The India-specific Audi RS5 Coupe will be powered by a 2.9-liter turbo-petrol V6 engine. It comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, which sends power to all the four wheels. This motor is capable of making 444hp of maximum power and 600Nm of peak torque.
And, how much will it cost?
Going by the reports, Audi is likely to bring the updated RS5 model to India by the end of this year. As far as pcoket-pinch is concerned, the sedan will be priced around Rs. 1 crore and take on the likes of BMW 7 Series and Porsche Cayenne Coupe.
