2020 Audi Q3 Sportback unveiled, priced at Rs. 31 lakh
German automaker Audi has pulled the covers off its 2020 Audi Q3 Sportback SUV. The new model, which is the coupe version of Audi Q3, features a sloping rear roofline and a bunch of other design and cosmetic changes. However, it is mechanically and internally the same as the standard Audi Q3. In Germany, it is priced at Rs. 31 lakh. Here's our roundup.
Let's take a look at the Audi Q3 Sportback
Up front, the Audi Q3 Sportback features a 3D-profile blacked-out front grille housed in an octagonal frame, while on the rear it gets a sloping tailgate along with black claddings underneath the bumpers. The SUV gets an all-LED lighting setup as standard and in-house full-matrix LED headlights as optional. Moreover, the Q3 Sportback runs on 18-inch alloy wheels as standard.
Inside the cabin
Inside, the Audi Q3 Sportback gets a dual-tone cabin featuring chrome elements on dashboard and steering wheel along with black upholstery. Interestingly, the SUV comes integrated with Amazon Alexa and gets a 'car-to-x' system that informs you about the status of traffic lights. Moreover, the coupe gets a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel and connectivity features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Power and performance
The Audi Q3 Sportback will be launched in three engine options: 2.0-liter petrol, 2.0-liter diesel, and a 1.5-liter petrol hybrid mill. The 2.0-liter petrol unit churns out 230hp of power, while the diesel mill, in two states of tune, produces 150hp and 190hp of power, respectively. Moreover, the 1.5-liter petrol mill, paired with 48V hybrid system, is capable of producing 149hp of power.
Audi Q3 Sportback: On the road
For braking performance, the Audi Q3 Sportback comes equipped with disc brakes on both sides along with ABS, EBD, and traction control. The SUV gets rearview cameras along with crash sensors for parking assistance. Further, the Sportback model gets the same suspension setup as that of standard Audi Q3. However, it can be upgraded with a sport suspension system without paying any extra charges.
Will it come to India?
There is no official confirmation about Audi Q3 Sportback's arrival in India as of now. However, according to Autocar, the Sportback model may be launched in the country alongside second-generation Audi Q3 sometime around next year.
