Ahead of launch, TVS teases next-generation NTorq 125 scooter
Expanding its line-up of scooters, TVS Motor Company is all set to launch the 2019 NTorq 125 in India sometime soon. In the latest update, the company has posted an official teaser video, revealing the front apron and headlights of the upcoming scooter, while the text "Coming soon..." hints at its imminent launch. 2019 TVS NTorq 125: At a glance
As far as specifications are concerned, the 2019 TVS NTorq 125 is likely to come with a dual-tone color scheme, sharp features, and 12-inch alloy wheels. It will get some restyled graphics on the front apron and will house LED headlamps with T-shaped LED DRLs. Further, it will offer a fully-digital instrument console along with Bluetooth connectivity - similar to the current model.
Power and performance
The 2019 NTorq 125 will be powered by the same 124.79cc air-cooled single cylinder engine which is capable of producing 9.4PS of power at 7,500rpm and 10.5Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm. Also, it is expected that the engine would be BS6-compliant in order to meet the latest emission norms.
Here's a look at the safety and suspension setup
The 2019 TVS NTorq 125 is expected to come equipped with disc/drum brake on front wheel, drum brake on rear wheel, along with combined braking system (CBS) to avoid skidding while braking. To handle the suspension duties, the scooter is likely to house conventional telescopic forks on the front and a monoshock suspension on the rear.
Finally, what about pricing?
The current model of the TVS NTorq 125 starts at Rs. 58,872 for the drum brake variant and goes up to Rs. 59,995 for the disc brake model. Hence, considering the upgrades, we expect the upcoming model to arrive at around Rs. 65,000.
