TVS launches 2019 Jupiter Grande with Bluetooth connectivity
Expanding its two-wheelers line-up, TVS Motor Company has launched the all-new Jupiter Grande in India at Rs. 62,300. The scooter comes with a couple of cosmetic updates and is also the first in the 110cc segment to offer Bluetooth connectivity. However, in terms of mechanical specifications, it remains the same as standard TVS Jupiter. Here's our roundup.

The 2019 TVS Jupiter Grande comes with a couple of design updates including a new Tech Blue color scheme, dual-color 3D logo, blacked-out mirrors with chrome highlights, and diamond cut alloy wheels. It also sports a cross-stitched maroon seat, beige-colored inner panels, and silver-colored grab rail. For lighting, the scooter houses LED headlamp, bulb indicators, and LED taillight.
TVS Jupiter Grande offers smartphone connectivity
One of the key highlights of TVS Jupiter Grande is that it can be paired with your smartphone using Bluetooth. Upon successful pairing, you can receive speed alerts, trip report, and more such pertinent data. However, you will have to download the TVS Connect app on your Android or iOS device to enable the notifications.
Power and performance
The TVS Jupiter Grande is powered by a 109.7cc air-cooled single cylinder engine which is capable of producing 7.9bhp of maximum power at 7,500rpm and 8.4Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm. This engine is mated to an automatic CVT and promises a mileage of 62kmpl.

On the safety front, the TVS Jupiter Grande comes equipped with disc brake on the front along with Sync Braking Technology (SBT) to avoid skidding while braking and drum brake on the rear. Further, the scooter houses telescopic forks on the front and adjustable monoshock unit on the rear to handle the suspension duties.

As for the pocket pinch, the 2019 TVS Jupiter Grande costs Rs. 62,346 in India which is approximately Rs. 9,000 costlier than the standard Jupiter. At this price point, it goes up against rivals such as Hero Maestro Edge, TVS NTorq 125, and Honda Activa.
