2019 Toyota Yaris Dual-Tone launched at Rs. 8.65 lakh
Japanese automaker Toyota has launched the 2019 Yaris Dual-Tone sedan in India. Priced at Rs. 8.65 lakh, the new model comes as a successor to the 2018 Yaris, which has seen a decline in sales, of late. The Dual-Tone variant, which is also Rs. 60,000 cheaper than the outgoing model, comes with several design tweaks and packs more features. However, mechanically, it remains unchanged.
First, a look at the 2019 Toyota Yaris Dual-Tone
As the name suggests, the 2019 Toyota Yaris Dual-Tone features a dual color scheme with a blackened roof. The sedan sports a trapezoidal cascading grille with sleek headlamps, indicator mounted ORVMs, body-colored door handles, and diamond-cut alloy wheels. For lighting, the car gets projector headlamps with LED DRLs, turn indicators, and taillights.
Inside the cabin
Inside, the latest Toyota Yaris sports a five-seater cabin with leatherette upholstery, power adjustable driver seat, and a multifunctional steering wheel. As for electronic features, it gets a touchscreen infotainment panel with support for connectivity features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Further, the sedan also offers mood lighting, roof mounted air vents, and automatic climate control.
Power and performance
The 2019 Toyota Yaris Dual-Tone retains the mechanical specifications of the outgoing model. Hence, it comes with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder, petrol engine which is capable of producing 108PS of power and 140Nm of peak torque. For transmission duties, it gets a six-speed manual gearbox as standard and an automatic CVT as optional.
2019 Toyota Yaris Dual-Tone: On the road
The 2019 Toyota Yaris Dual-Tone comes equipped with disc brakes on all wheels along with ABS and EBD to avoid skidding on the road. The car sports three airbags (seven airbags on higher trims), rear camera as well as front and rear sensors for parking assistance. Furthermore, it comes with tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hill hold assist, and engine immobilizer for anti-theft provisions.

As for the pocket pinch, the 2019 Toyota Yaris Dual-Tone is priced at Rs. 8.65 lakh in India which is Rs. 60,000 less than the outgoing model. At this price point, it will go up against rivals like Hyundai Verna, Skoda Rapid, and Honda City.
