2019 Jeep Wrangler launched in India for Rs. 64 lakh
Jeep India has finally launched the 2019 Wrangler in the country at Rs. 63.94 lakh. The off-roader, available only in the 5-door petrol-powered variant, arrives as the CBU (completely built unit) model in the country. The 2019 Jeep-wrangler'>Jeep Wrangler sports a seven-slat signature grille on the front along with rounded headlamps, blacked-out ORVMs, and 18-inch wheels. For lighting, it gets new LED headlamps along with DRLs, turn indicators, and LED taillamps. Interestingly, the windshield, doors, as well as roof panels of the SUV are removable, so that you can have an open Jeep experience as well.
Inside the cabin
Inside, the 2019 Jeep Wrangler sports a premium blacked-out cabin with leather upholstery and a three-spoked multifunctional power steering wheel. The SUV features a 7.0-inch digital instrument panel and the 8.4-inch Jeep Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system with support for connectivity features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Further, it gets an eight-speaker Alpine sound system with active noise cancellation and acoustic laminated windshield glass.
Power and performance
The all-new Jeep Wrangler is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine which churns out 268bhp power and 400Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Moreover, the SUV gets Jeep's Seletrac 4X4 drivetrain system with a low ratio gearbox.
2019 Jeep Wrangler: On the road
The 2019 Jeep Wrangler comes equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels along with ABS, EBD, traction control, and ESP (electronic stability program) for better road handling. For parking assistance, it gets a rearview camera and rear parking sensors. Furthermore, the offroad SUV comes with four airbags, child safety locks, and child seat mounts.
