    What's the story

South Korean automaker Hyundai has launched the 2019 edition of its popular hatchback, the i20 Active, in India at a starting price of Rs. 7.74 lakh.

The 2019 edition, offered in three variants: S, SX and SX dual-tone, gets updated safety features to comply with the latest norms.

Apart from that, there are no notable changes.

    Here is our roundup.

    Safety Norms

First, let's take a look at the new safety norms

Considering the high number of road fatalities, the Indian Government has introduced a set of mandatory safety norms for both two-wheeler and four-wheeler vehicles to make the driving environment safe.

As part of the new norms, it is now compulsory for four-wheelers to offer standard safety features like ABS, speed alert system, reverse parking sensor, driver airbag, and driver and front passenger seatbelt reminder.
