2019 Honda CB650R bike to launch in India soon
Honda-motorcycle-and-scooter-india'>Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) is gearing up to launch the 2019 CB650R bike in the country soon. Unveiled at the 2018 EICMA Motorcycle Show, the CB650R features a naked street look, similar to what we have seen on the Honda CB1000R. In India, it is expected to arrive a price of around Rs. 6-8 lakh. Here's our roundup.
Honda CB650R: At a glance
The 2019 Honda CB650R features a naked street look with pipes from four-cylinders of the engine merging to form a low-key exhaust. Further, the rounded headlamp, muscular looking fuel tank, and golden garnishing around engine, forks, and alloy wheels add to its retro appeal. As for electronic features, it sports a fully-digital instrument console and an all-LED lighting setup for headlamp, indicators, and taillight.
Power and performance
The 2019 Honda CB650R is powered by 649cc liquid-cooled, four cylinder, DOHC engine which is capable of producing 95PS of power at 12,000rpm and 64Nm of peak torque at 8,500rpm. For transmission duties, the motorcycle gets a six-speed manual gearbox along with a slipper clutch.
2019 Honda CB650R: On the road
The 2019 Honda CB650R comes equipped with 320mm disc brake on the front, 240mm disc brake on the rear, and dual-channel ABS for improved road handling. The motorcycle gets 41mm Showa's upside-down suspension with separate fork function (SFF) on the front and a monoshock unit on the rear to handle suspension duties.
Finally, what will be the pricing?
Honda has not revealed the India pricing of 2019 CB650R as of now. However, we expect it to arrive at a price of around Rs. 6-8 lakh. Once launched, it will go up against rivals such as Kawasaki Z650 and upcoming KTM 790 Duke.
