Power and performance
The 2019 C-Class is powered by a new BS-VI compliant 2.0-liter diesel engine which can offer upto 469hp of peak power (depending on the model). The motor comes paired to a 9-speed automatic gearbox that powers the rear wheels. The all-new BMW 3-Series is also offered in 2.0-liter engine options, offering a maximum of 254hp via the eight-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox. Winner: Mercedes C-Class.
Which one should you buy?
The 2019 BMW 3 Series costs Rs. 41.40 lakh for the entry-level Sport variant while the facelifted C-Class starts at Rs. 40 lakh with the C 220d Prime trim. Undoubtedly, both models offer a great driving pleasure and are well laced with hi-tech and safety features. But, with better performance parameters under its kitty, C-Class looks like a winner.
