Audi launches 2019 A6 sedan at Rs. 54.20 lakh
German automaker Audi has finally launched the 2019 A6 sedan in India today. Starting at Rs. 54.20 lakh, the premium 8th-generation sedan is available in two variants: Premium Plus and Technology. The new model comes with a bunch of design and feature updates over the outgoing variant and is offered only with a petrol-powered engine. Here's our roundup.
2019 Audi A6: At a glance
The 2019 A6 features a sharper and sportier design as compared to the outgoing model. It features a larger grille with a chrome finish, trapezoidal air-intake, and electronically adjustable ORVMs. The car also gets dual exhausts, chrome frame surrounding the windows, and a chrome strip on the bootlid connecting the taillamps. Moreover, it runs on 18-inch alloy wheels and gets an all-LED lighting setup.
Inside the cabin
Inside, the 8th-generation Audi A6 sports a 5-seater cabin with leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, and four-zone climate control. As for electronic features, the sedan gets virtual cockpit instrument cluster and a twin-touch infotainment unit with MMI interface and connectivity features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Moreover, the car also houses Bang & Olufsen audio system and hands-free parking function.
Power and performance
The 2019 Audi A6 is powered by a 2-liter, four-cylinder, petrol engine which is capable of producing 240bhp of maximum power and 370Nm of peak torque. The transmission duties on the sedan are handled by a 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox. Moreover, it has a top speed of 250kmph and it can do a 0-100kmph sprint in 6.8 seconds.
And, what about the safety features
The 2019 Audi A6 comes equipped with disc brakes on all the wheels along with ABS, EBD, and traction control for improved road handling. The sedan also gets features like electric parking with auto-hold function and electronic stability program (ESP). Furthermore, the car comes with eight airbags as well as a 360-degree camera and parking sensors.

As for the pocket pinch, the 2019 Audi A6 starts at Rs. 54.20 lakh for the Premium Plus variant and goes upto Rs. 59.20 lakh for the Technology variant. In India, it'll go up against rivals like BMW 5-series, Jaguar XF, and Volvo S90.
